There’s something I absolutely love about photographing intimate weddings. There’s just something uniquely different about them. The actual day itself isn’t much different than an average wedding day, but rather the mood & atmosphere is. They just feel very warm and relaxed. The bride & groom are usually joined by their closest family members and friends that perhaps have flown in from afar to help them celebrate their special day. The nuptials are intimate and the evening reception feels a lot like a big family reunion. Usually there are no DJs or dance floors, just lots of talking and laughter as family and friends catch up over great food and wine. This is exactly how Rob & Meg’s wedding day was like. It was an unseasonably warm day for a January wedding. When I arrived at the Hyatt the morning of the wedding, Megan was with her closest family members that had flown in all the way in from Japan for the celebration. The ceremony took place at the beautiful St. Catherine’s Church in Greenwich, CT followed by a wonderful dinner at Columbus Park Trattoria. Here are some of my favorite image from their day.
