Of course no bride wants or expects it to rain on their wedding day. It was torrential downpour the morning of Cayla & Nick’s wedding and the forecast didn’t show signs of letting up. When I showed up to Cayla’s hotel room, she was relaxed and in high spirits, no signs of any worry about the rainy weather forecast. I would soon understand why; as Cayla’s mom zipped her into her wedding dress she told Cayla to remember that nothing else matters today but her and Nick and this celebration with friends and family. That the day was going to go by in a flash and she should enjoy every minute of it. If only all brides could be reminded of this! I could see that Mom’s words of wisdom really helped to keep Cayla at ease and as a result, she and Nick was able to live in the moment and enjoy every second of their beautiful day. They tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at St. Pius Church in Middletown, CT. Afterwards, we headed over to Saint Clement’s Castle (where their reception would be held). As luck would have it, the skies cleared just in time for us to take their bridal portraits on the beautiful grounds of the Castle. Enjoy some of my favorite images from their beautiful wedding day.
